Trying to rework the plaque idea to make it more appealing both visually and conceptually. The first one took a while to get to this stage because I got hung up on what my 'description' should be. For the next one I plan to abandon the traditional format, as even in the authentic blue plaques there is a great deal of variation between them. I assume this is largely to do with when they were made.
The plaque seems like a natural way of exploring some of my ideas of home and life in London. It should sit well next to the series of miniature brick furniture I am also working on.
Currently thinking it should read this:
The world's first blue plaques were erected in London in the 19th engraved plaques century to mark the homes and workplaces of famous people.
